Portland singer-songwriter Lexie announces new EP San Miguel and shares “Swimming”
Lexie has detailed an EP titled San Miguel, the follow up to her recent debut album, and shared a single about reconnecting with sexuality after fighting cancer.
The EP follows her debut album Halcyon Days – released in June – which was written throughout her cancer treatment and the end of a ten-year marriage. San Miguel, conversely, was written as she reconnected with her body, between summer 2025 and spring 2026.
“I literally wondered what desire would look again, if I would ever feel it again,” Lexie said in a press statement. "Swimming" was inspired by a turning point in her recovery. While swimming in a river near Lago Maggiore in Italy, she felt her sexual energy return. The track was recorded at Raymond Richards’ Red Rockets Glare studio in Portland with producer Alex Callenberger, and mastered by legendary producer and Tortoise member John McEntire.
