Polly Paulusma releases new song, "Pentecostosis"
Polly Paulusma has released "Pentecostosis", the latest preview of the 21st anniversary edition of her 2004 album, Scissors In My Pocket.
The deluxe reissue features the original eleven tracks from Paulusma's debut, in addition to five bonus recordings. "Pentecostosis" was written around the same time that Scissors In My Pocket was, but is released for the first time today.
The track was written before Paulusma was diagnosed with bipolar disorder, and she now looks back “The dragon asleep on the shed is my creativity,” she says, “but also can be seen as an early manifestation of my understanding of my own bipolar disorder, a creative but also a destructive force.”
Scissors In My Pocket (21st Anniversary Edition) is released on 2 October via One Little Independent Records and Wild Sound
