PinkPantheress, Central Cee, SZA and more participate in Sudan fundraiser
Freedom For Sudan has announced a fundraising auction offering gifts and experiences with artists including PinkPantheress, Central Cee, SZA, to take place between 6-12 January.
Across five days, Freedom For Sudan will host the auction on GalaBid, with the intention of “bringing together the most generous greats across music, fashion, food, and film to raise money in Sudan”, according to the initiative’s social media. The Weeknd, Olivia Rodrigo, 2hollis, Kelela, Keiyaa, MIKE, and Dave will also be taking part in the auction. Early donations can be made now on GalaBid, but the auction will officially open on 6 January at 11 AM, and close on 12 January at 11 PM.
Freedom For Sudan is a new initiative launched in honour of Sudan’s 70th Independence Day to fundraise in support of ending violence and exploitation in the country in order to rebuild with a civilian-led government. All proceeds from the auction will go towards Sudanese non-profit organisations providing essential medical care, food assistance, resistance work, and direct aid. A breakdown of the donations will be published following distribution.
