Pigeon announce debut album, OUTTANATIONAL

17 January 2026, 14:13 | Written by Kayla Sandiford

Margate psychedelic five-piece Pigeon have revealed the details of their upcoming debut album, OUTTANATIONAL, and shared lead single “Miami”.

Formed of vocalist and percussionist Falle Nioke, drummer Graham Godfrey, bassist Josh Ludow, keyboardist Steve Pringle, and guitarist Tom Dream, Pigeon bring together broad influences and backgrounds, with some members having worked with artists including Little Simz, Michael Kiwanuka, SAULT and Saul Williams. Their upcoming album OUTTANATIONAL sees these influences combine, with “Miami” being the first previous of their Afro-disco, krautrock, punk-funk inspired work.

The album, recorded live in Kent between the Albion Rooms in Margate and Big Jelly Studios in Ramsgate, follows previous EP’s Yagana and Backslider, is said to tackle questions around identity, migration, and belonging, written during Nioke’s experience of naturalisation following his move from from Guinea-Conakry to the UK in 2018. Speaking on the record, he comments: “It’s like a blustery, overcast day and then you walk into the amusement arcades. It’s stimulation overload.”
