"No recording devices allowed": Phoebe Bridgers to end live hiatus tonight in New Mexico
Phoebe Bridgers will return to the stage tonight, 8 May, at the Liberty in Roswell, New Mexico, marking her first live performance since she supported Taylor Swift on tour three years ago.
Bridgers' most recent appearance of any kind was with boygenius in February 2024 ahead of the Grammys, where the trio won multiple awards. Since then, Bridgers has taken an extended break from public performances.
Flyers distributed around the city of Roswell in New Mexico indicate that the box office for the show - at the Libert venue - will open at noon local time, with doors at 6 p.m. Sales are first come, first served, and camping out is not permitted. Wristbands will cost $50 each. Stereogum has confirmed with the venue that the show is authentic.
“No cellphones, smart watches, smart glasses, cameras, or recording devices allowed,” according to the flyer. “Yondr pouches will be provided.” Attendees will be instructed on site where to line up for box office access. A representative for the Liberty said to follow the venue on Instagram for more information.
Bridgers has not released an album under her own name since Punisher in 2020. No new recorded material has been announced alongside this return to live performance, though one Reddit user commented, "No cellphones means new music."
