Pendulum cover Taylor Swift's "Anti-Hero" on Like A Version
Australian electronic rock band Pendulum have covered Taylor Swift's "Anti-Hero" as part of a live session for Triple J's Like A Version series.
Taking to the revered radio station for their infamous Like A Version series, Pendulum performed a cover of the song that features on Taylor Swift's 2022 album, Midnights.
Referring to themselves as "Swifties", Pendulum's Rob Swire said: “We just thought [she] needed some exposure...Really just needed some help shifting those numbers, selling some tour tickets. We just tried a whole bunch of stuff at drum and bass tempo and it just really lent itself to that sort of speed.” Gareth McGrillen added: “She’s really talented and we just thought she needed a bit of help down under.”
As part of the session, Pendulum also performed their recent single "Colorfast", which is taken from their forthcoming EP Anima. This is the follow-up to their 2018 album, The Reworks.
Anima is set for release on 3 November, via Virgin/Mushroom Group.
