Ottawa’s fanclubwallet shares Halloween single "Creep-O"

30 October 2026, 15:00 | Written by Hayden Merrick

Canadian indie-pop project fanclubwallet has released standalone single/video "Creep-O" via Lauren Records. The track was written and recorded almost entirely in one sitting and arrives as a Halloween treat about a man who gives vocalist Hannah Judge the creeps.

The track came together as Judge tried to shake off an inexplicable feeling of unease. She recalls whispering the lyrics into a microphone while sitting on the couch as collaborator Michael Watson worked at the computer. Informed by Blood Orange, Memo Boy, and Sneaks, the song sat unreleased for several years before Judge decided to revive her tradition of releasing a new track for Halloween. "Creep-O" joins 2020's "double down" and 2022's "Roadkill".

"This song was created in basically one sitting," Judge said. "A feeling of weirdness was stuck with me and I just had to get it out as quick as possible."

The single carries the discomfort of being around someone who seems to get away with everything, despite your suspicions that something sinister is going on beneath their facade.

Judge, a cartoonist and musician, has been a longtime presence in Ottawa’s local scene and runs the label and resource hub Club Records. Her second album, Living While Dying, was released last October. A previously unreleased demo, "Pickles N Greens", was also released today: as part of the climate justice benefit compilation Mobilise Everywhere.
