Oscar Farrell announces new EP Birds Fly In with single "Burning From" featuring Goya Gumbani
Oscar Farrell has shared details of a new EP, Birds Fly In, and released its lead single ‘Burning From’, a collaboration with Brooklyn-born, London-based artist Goya Gumbani.
"Burning From" pairs Farrell’s production with Gumbani’s delivery with the result drawing on New York’s underground rap and soul while reworking those sounds within a London club context. The EP follows Farrell’s standalone single "Tell It Like It Is" from earlier this year, as well as a run of live and DJ appearances that have raised his profile.
The track arrives with a video directed by Pablo Gallegos, centred around the Ernő Goldfinger-designed Balfron Tower in East London.
To mark the EP’s release, the London producer will play a club night at East London’s The Glove That Fits on 17 April alongside Lil Sil.va, Jeshi and Goya Gumbani. He also joins the dh2 lineup for a Primavera party on 3 June, appearing with George Daniel, Josh Caffé, Kelly Lee Owens and Surusinghe, and plays London’s Gala Festival on 22 May, where he performs a back-to-back set with Daniel.
