Oisin Mod shares "When The Heat Dies Down”, the final preview of his upcoming Bill Ryder-Jones-produced album
Galway-born singer-songwriter Oisin Mod has released his new single "When The Heat Dies Down", the closing track lifted from his new album, Canary.
"When The Heat Dies Down" follows previous singles "Premium", "Mirror Mirror", and title track "Canary". As the album's closer, it offers an optimistic end of a collection of songs informed by David Lynch films, Roland S. Howard's Pop Crimes, and John Healy’s memoir The Grass Arena.
Discussing the new single, Mod shares: “I tried to outrun the song in some ways and subsequently it became the last one to be written for the album. I got a buzz from finishing it. It feels familiar and gives me an impression of the world when the windscreen isn’t fogged up by seriousness.”
Canary is released on 6 November 2026
