Nova Twins announce ICMP scholarship for budding musicians

28 April 2023, 11:58 | Written by Tyler Damara Kelly

Amy Love and Georgia South of Nova Twins have been named as Ambassadors for ICMP's brand new Creative Musicianship Scholarship.

The initiative has been created to offer an opportunity to anyone passionate about creative musicianship who might be unable to consider Higher Education as part of their career.

The scholarship is now open for applications and will cover the cost of undergraduate tuition fees of one UK-based home fee status student or one international student for the entire three years of the BA (Hons) Creative Musicianship degree commencing September 2023.

Of their reason to be a part of the initiative, vocalist/guitarist Love says: "Being given an opportunity can make all the difference and certainly, if it wasn’t for the opportunities we’ve had, then Nova Twins wouldn’t exist as we do today."

ICMP’s Ace says: “We’re made up that Nova Twins are now Ambassadors for BA Creative Musicianship Scholarship. The band have earned plaudits from fans and critics with their amazing, genre-blending music as well as using their voices to push genuine change within the music industry around diversity, inclusion and the narrative around Black music."

Nova Twins have won multiple times at the Heavy Metal Awards, including Best UK Breakthrough Band in 2020 following their debut Who Are The Girls?. Their second album Supernova earned them two Brit Award nominations and a Mercury Prize nomination.

Nova Twins recently unveiled their remix of Sam Smith and Kim Petras collaboration "Unholy".
