Nine Inch Nails set to score forthcoming Tron movie
During an event yesterday evening, in California, Disney announced Nine Inch Nails as being at the helm of the soundtrack for Tron: Ares.
Directed by Joachim Rønning and starring Greta Lee, Jared Leto, and Jeff Bridges, Tron: Ares is the follow-up to Tron: Legacy, which was scored by Daft Punk in 2010. The third instalment of the series will be released in October 2025.

Trent Reznor and Atticus Ross are well-known for their film scores, working closely with David Fincher, and on films such as The Girl with the Dragon Tattoo, Bones and All, Birdbox, Gone Girl, and The Social Network. This will mark the first time the band has taken over a score, and will see the release of original Nine Inch Nails songs for the first time since 2020.
Tron: Ares will be released next year. Nine Inch Nails recently announced that they are partnering with Dr. Martens on a line of footwear to celebrate the 30th anniversary of The Downward Spiral.
