Ninajirachi, Fcukers, K-pop and the new artist-fan playbook to take centre stage at Primavera Pro
Primavera Pro has released the full programme for its 17th edition, with Australian producer Ninajirachi, New York electronic band Fcukers, and Alejandro Pabon, the strategist behind Bad Bunny’s Puerto Rico residency, among the 100 speakers taking part in talks and debates running alongside Primavera Sound Barcelona.
Across the three-day event – from 3 to 5 June at the Centre de Cultura Contemporània de Barcelona (CCCB) – panels will tackle the new music economy, songwriting as cross-cultural exchange, shifting artist-fan relationships, new live performance models, and rights management in an AI-dominated landscape. Companies in the frame include Warp, Sony Music Publishing, Mavin Records, Domino Music, AEG Presents and True Panther.
Ninajirachi will appear in a Pitchfork Talks session with the publication’s deputy editor Jeremy D. Larson, discussing her sound’s evolution and key issues in electronic music and EDM. Larson will also sit with Fcukers, who have gained momentum since their emergence in 2023 and released their debut record Ö last month.
Pabon from Rimas Nation will discuss Bad Bunny’s historic residency – reportedly the longest-running and highest-attendance music event in the history of Puerto Rico – and examine the production strategies behind the kind of large-scale live shows that are resetting global benchmarks.
The transformation of artist-fan connections gets a focus via Min Yoo of hello82, a company working with K-pop culture and fandom. Yoo will explain how his firm builds scalable models from intellectual property to redfine fan experiences. African sound’s rise as a defining industry force will be examined by Oluwatomisin Afolabi from Mavin Records, home to Rema and Ayra Starr. How certain markets, sounds and influential identities today are still marked by structural inequalities will be central to that conversation – alongside what is needed to turn creative momentum into sustainable global legacy.
Cultural identities and the blurring of mainstream and underground boundaries will be discussed by Berrios, REMEZCLA’s Joel Moya, and professionals from Perfectly Imperfect, Domino Records and Warp Publishing.
Public-facing activity includes a panel on HBO Max series Ravalejar with director Pol Rodríguez, composer Eloi Caballé and sound designer Belén López Albert, exploring sonic identity against gentrification and housing crisis. 22 free showcases already announced run at the CCCB’s Pati de les Dones, alongside speed meetings, Listening Sessions with international music supervisors, and Mentoring Sessions featuring sync executives from Beggars Group, Domino, K7, Partisan and Mute.
Primavera Pro runs from 3–5 June at the CCCB, Barcelona, with professional accreditation available via the Primavera Pro website and AccessTicket
