
Nick Mulvey shares cover of "We Are Never Getting Back Together" from BBC Radio 1’s Live Lounge
Nick Mulvey has released his BBC Radio 1 Live Lounge cover of Taylor Swift's "We Are Never Getting Back Together", which was originally recorded in 2014.
The version arrives as Mulvey prepares to release the tenth anniversary edition of his Mercury Prize nominated debut solo album, First Mind. Alongside the release, Mulvey is heading out on a five date tour, taking in Leeds, Glasgow, Manchester and Bristol before headlining the Eventim Apollo in London on 21 March.
Speaking about the release, Nick Mulvey says: “I was resistant at first… I’m always chasing something new in the present.. but it’s been good…healing… I’ve found again an album I’m really, really proud of."
First Mind, was originally released in 2014, as Mulvey’s first album after leaving Portico Quartet and was met with critical acclaim across the board. Featuring hit singles "Fever To The Form" and "Cucurucu", it firmly marked Mulvey out as one of the most talented musicians of his generation. To date, the album has over 290 million streams on Spotify.
Nick Mulvey's Mercury Prize-nominated debut, First Mind, will be reissued on 1 March. Tickets for his forthcoming tour are available from nickmulvey.com
