Nick Hakim announces Cometa album with new single "Happen" featuring Alex G on piano
Nick Hakim is back with news of his upcoming album Cometa, and has released new single "Happen" as the lead outing, which features Alex G on piano and Abe Rounds on drums.
"Happen" lands with a Johan Carlsson-directed video, and marks Hakim's first outing since last year's Small Things collaborative project with Roy Nathanson.
Hakim's new album Cometa will follow 2020's Will This Make Me Good, and will include collaborations with DJ Dahi, Helado Negro and Arto Lindsay. It was recorded in various spaces across Texas, North Carolina, California and New York.
"I think it's nice to have love in your life and to have people that are sharing and wanting that," Hakim explains. "It’s my interpretation of a really romantic way to express love in my own way."
