Nick Cave and Debbie Harry have shared a cover of “On the Other Side"
The Jeffrey Lee Pierce Sessions Project unveils its fourth volume with a new Nick Cave and Debbie Harry collaboration.
Nick Cave and Debbie Harry have shared their cover of “On the Other Side", which is the first single from the new collection The Task Has Overwhelmed Us – which also features late Mark Lanegan, Lydia Lunch, Dave Gahan, the Coathangers, and Jim Jarmusch.
Since 2009, the Jeffrey Lee Pierce Sessions Project has been intermittently releasing tribute albums on which noteworthy musicians flesh out the unfinished demos of Gun Club leader Jeffrey Lee Pierce. Cave and Harry are joined on the song by Cypress Grove, Warren Ellis, and Guido Benigni.
It’s the fourth duet from Cave and Harry for this series following “Free to Walk” on 2009’s We Are Only Riders, “The Breaking Hands” from 2012’s The Journey Is Long, and “Into the Fire” from 2014’s Axels and Sockets.
Jeffrey Lee Pierce Sessions Project's, The Task Has Overwhelmed Us, arrives on 29 September via Glitterhouse Records.
