Mogwai release soundtrack to BBC series, The Bombing of Pan Am 103
Mogwai have released the soundtrack to The Bombing of Pan Am 103, as part of the new BBC series.
On 21 December 1988, flight Pan Am 103 was en route from Heathrow to JFK when a bomb exploded in its hold over Lockerbie, killing 270 people, including 43 British citizens and 190 Americans. It was the worst ever terror attack on British soil and the first major act of terrorism against US citizens. The series follows the untold story of the Scots-US investigation into the attack and the devastating effect it had on the small town and the families who lost loved ones.
The Bombing of Pan Am 103 features cast members including Connor Swindells, Patrick J. Adams, Merritt Wever, Peter Mullan, Tony Curran, Eddie Marsan, and more. Mogwai recorded the original soundtrack to the series with long time collaborator Tony Doogan at the band’s Castle of Doom studio.
The album follows the release of Mogwai's eleventh studio album The Bad Fire, produced by John Congleton at Chem19 studios in Blantyre, Scotland, the album features the singles “Lion Rumpus”, “God Gets You Back” and “Fanzine Made Of Flesh”.
