This week's MOBO Awards will honour the late Jamal Edwards with the Paving The Way Award.

It's been revealed that Jamal Edwards, Nile Rodgers and Craig David will receive special honour awards at the 2022 MOBOs, which takes place on Wednesday (30 November).

SB.TV founder Edwards, who died in February, will be honoured at this year's MOBOs with the Paving The Way Award, which is "dedicated to celebrating and honouring trailblazers who create a path of excellence for future generations of talent," and will also be accompanied by a tribute performance by Emeli Sandé.

Nile Rodgers will receive the MOBO Lifetime Achievement Award, and Craig David will be the recipient of the MOBO Outstanding Contribution Award.

This year's MOBOs will also feature two brand new categories - Best Alternative Music Act and Best Dance/Electronic Act.

Knucks leads this year's nomination with five across Album of the Year, Best Male Act, Video of the Year and Best Hip-Hop Act, while Little Simz follows close behind with four nominations across the same categories.

The 2022 MOBO Awards will take place on 30 November at Wembley's OVO Arena. Tickets are on sale now via mobo.com/tickets.
