MLEKO announce debut EP, Feast of St Perpetua
Manchester post-rock band MLEKO reveal the details of their upcoming debut EP, Feast of St Perpetua, and share new single "Tom’s Tune".
The announcement of Feast of St Perpetua arrives after MLEKO signed Heist or Hit Records (Westside Cowboy) back in October, with "Tom's Tune" arriving as the first preview of what's to come from the seven-piece, who describe their sound as "Gub Rock" — which was also the title of their debut single released last year.
Discussing the new track, the band say: "Tom's Tune' is our best shot at encapsulating the Mleko spectrum. We are sorry that it took 7 minutes and some choral wailing to do that."
Although Feast of St Perpetua will be MLEKO's first collection of songs to receive an official release, the band have already developed a live presence across Manchester's music scene, and made appearances at The Lexington and The Sebright Arms in London. Tomorrow (11 February), they are scheduled to perform at The Windmill in Brixton, with more live dates to come.
