mildred unveil new song, "Bird Laugh"
mildred have released their new single, "Bird Laugh".
"Bird Laugh" follows mildred's debut album Fenceline, released back in August. The track was written as part of a double A-side single set with a companion song to follow, and became a live favourite as the Oakland band supported Naima Bock during her US tour. It also lands alongside the announcement of a full UK tour in November with shows in Brighton, Bristol, Manchester, Liverpool, Leeds and London.
Speaking about the track, songwriter Jack Schrott says: “Wrote this song after a tour on the west coast. I was thinking about a snow storm we got stuck in. I feel like the song is about resigning yourself to something. Some things you can’t fight, like snow falling. And sometimes the things you resign yourself to are the things that make the world the most beautiful, also like snow.”
"Bird Laugh" is out now on Dog Day x Memorials of Distinction
