Mercury Rev has announced a UK/EU reissue of their their 1993 album Boces. Newly remastered by Henry Rudkins at AIR Studios, the album will be available on 13 November via Beggars Banquet.

Boces was the indie-psych band's second album, their last with original frontman David Baker, and their first for a major label, the record being released through Columbia in the US and Beggars on the UK side.

Mercury Rev formed in Buffalo, New York, in 1989 and have been active ever since. Their early records drew from psychedelic noise, while later work has pulled in jazz, funk, doo-wop, techno, and folk. The reissue follows the band’s long-running pattern of revisiting and reshaping their catalogue. Born Horses, their tenth album, was released in 2024 through Bella Union. The band are currently on a major European tour to celebrate the 25th anniversary of All Is Dream. They play Hackney Church, London on 17 Oct.
