Melanie Radford shares new song, "Philadelphia"
Bassist and vocalist Melanie Radford has released "Philadelphia", the latest single from her upcoming debut solo album, For the Sake of Stillness.
"Philadelphia" arrives as the album opener, following previous single "Hangin' On". The track is accompanied by a video filmed in a remote location in Rio de Janeiro, Brazil, filmed by Radford's partner and collaborator, Lê Almeida (of Oruã).
"Philadelphia" was recorded in one take against a field recording retrieved behind Union Transfer in Philadelphia while on tour with Built to Spill, and is said to be a meditation about a person, expanding on the album's core of being "part meditation, part love poem, part hymn".
For the Sake of Stillness is released on 26 June via Jealous Butcher Records
