Mega Bog unveils new cut "Love Is"
Mega Bog has unveiled new cut "Love Is" as a second taster of her upcoming album End of Everything.
"Love Is" is the second outing from Mega Bog's End of Everything album, following last month's lead single "The Clown". The new release features backing vocals from Westerman, and is accompanied by a video directed by Allison Goldfarb.
Mega Bog, real name Erin Elizabeth Birgy, says of the single, "The magic of "Love Is" 100 percent needed a counterpart to plead through the reckoning of love imagined, love’s reality, and Westerman was a noble companion through this musical voyage."
End of Everything saw Birgy write using a piano and synthesiser instead of guitar, and was was recorded with Big Thief's James Krivchenia, who co-produced the album with Birgy and played drums. The album features Mega Bog's Zach Burba on bass, and electric guitars from Will Segerstrom, Meg Duffy (Hand Habits), and Jackson Macintosh (Drugdealer, TOPS).
"Love Is" is out now. Mega Bog's End of Everything album will arrive on 19 May via Mexican Summer, and is available to pre-order now. She'll play The Lexington in London on 16 August. Tickets are on sale now via megabog.com.
