Meadow Meadow reveal new track inspired by metropolitan duality
Meadow Meadow- the new project of ex-Spring King members Peter Darlington and James Green – have shared a new track "Rain", the first music from their upcoming debut record.
Speaking on the track, Darlington explains: “I was walking along the side of the Thames and could see that it was raining on one side of the river, but not on the side where I was standing. This idea of the city being cut in two halves really struck me and that's when the lyrics began to arrive. I thought about a relationship that was ending and how the city suddenly felt unknown to me.”
The song is the first new material from the duo, following just two earlier earlier EPs from 2020 and 2021. Meadow Meadow's debut is expected in 2024.
