Mclusky detail first album in two decades, the world is still here and so are we
Damien Sayell, Jack Egglestone, and Andrew Falkous – AKA Mclusky – have returned with their first new album in 20 years, the world is still here and so are we.
Alongside the album announcement, mclusky have unveiled two brand new singles, “way of the exploding dickhead” and “unpopular parts of a pig”.
"With a title modelled on/ripped off a formative video game (‘the way of the exploding fist’ on the zx spectrum), and lyrics inspired by the huge excitement caused by the surge pricing on tickets to see a band play well in the distance, ‘way of the exploding dickhead’ is a modern parable, without the parable bit,” says Andrew Falkous.
mclusky embark on a UK tour throughout May, with dates in Wrexham, Manchester, Leeds, London, and Bristol, alongside a EU date with Jesus Lizard.
The band released three critically-acclaimed albums – mclusky do dallas (2002), the difference between me and you is that I’m not on fire (2004) and my pain and sadness is more sad and painful than yours (2000) – before disbanding in 2005.
