Matty Healy has shut down rumours that Taylor Swift's upcoming album Midnights will feature a collaboration with The 1975.

Last week on Twitter, some fake tracklists for Taylor Swift's album were making the rounds online, and one claimed Swift's Midnights album would feature collaborations with The 1975, Stevie Nicks and Lana Del Rey.

The 1975's Matty Healy responded to the Midnights tracklist over the weekend, writing, "I would love that! But unfortunately FAKE NEWS :("

Rumours of The 1975's involvement with Swift's new album come after fans speculated last month that Lorde had helped Swift with her 10th album.

The 1975's Being Funny in a Foreign Language album will arrive on 14 October via Dirty Hit, and is available to pre-order now. Taylor Swift's Midnights album will follow on 21 October, and is available to pre-order now.
