Mathilda Homer announces debut album Love Gets Bigger and shares new single “Stay Young”

The record follows recent singles “Pretty in Blue”, “Cathedral Walls”, and “Doctor” – arriving after Homer became a new mother. “Somewhere between naps, bedtimes, breastfeeding and 40-minute stretches of sleep, we made an album, and somehow, love just kept getting bigger,” says Homer.

Across its 11 tracks, Love Gets Bigger moves through family, friendship, motherhood, and the passage of time, with Lancashire electro duo Aquilo featuring on “Guilty”. Homer will also support Aquilo on dates in Manchester, Glasgow, and London before her own headline run.

“Stay Young” was written with her partner and co-producer Isaac Waddington. Homer describes the song as perhaps her most metaphorical to date: “If the song were a picture, it would be two glistening bodies sunbathing by a river in France in deep love and just happy to be near each other.”

Homer’s live return has drawn attention, with a recent London show at Folklore selling out in three minutes. Artist Ellamae has created an illustrated visual landscape for each song on the record, with the scenes unfolding through lyric videos.
