Watch Madra Salach cover A Lazarus Soul's "Long Balconies" for Best Fit's secret sessions at End of the Road Festival
Among the many surprises at End of the Road Festival ealier this month was the first of three incredible performances in the space of 12 hours from Madra Salach which sealed the Irish band's status as one of the best live acts around right now.
Bookending their main set, the six-piece pitched up at the piano stage for the first of their secret shows, playing a handful of songs for Best Fit, which included a stunning cover of fellow Dublin band A Lazarus Soul's 2019 track "Long Balconies", which you can watch in full below.
The cover was part of a secret session for Best Fit at this year's End of the Road, which also saw pop-up sets from Prewn, Brother Wallace, Jasper Llewellyn, Will Doyle, Jeffrey Lewis, Jordan Patterson, Morgan Nagler, Rostom Batmanjaki, TTSSFU, Way Dynamic, Modern Woman, Cleo Reed, Hayden Thorpe and thredd.
Best Fit's secret sessions have become a key part of End of the Road each year, bringing together artists from across the line-up in a series of short sets, exclusive covers, collaborations, and live interviews and Q&As. Past guests have included Lucy Dacus, St Vincent, Wilco's Jeff Tweedy, Moses Sumney, Laura Marling, Patti Smith, and Frightened Rabbit - who played a now iconic version of "The Modern Leper".
Next year's End of the Road Festival runs from 2 - 5 September 2027 with tickets on sale this evening (Monday, 14 September) from 7pm via citizenticket.queue-fair.net/eotr2027
