Mac Miller, A$AP Rocky, Lil Yachty, and more to feature on new Thundercat album, Distracted
Thundercat has announced his upcoming album Distracted, his first full-length release in six years, and shared new single “I Did This To Myself” featuring Lil Yachty.
Distracted, set for release in April, will arrive as Thundercat’s first new album since his 2020 record It Is What It Is. Today, he reveals the first preview of the upcoming record, new single “I Did This To Myself”, which features rapper Lil Yachty.
In addition to Lil Yachty, Distracted — produced with Greg Kurstin (credited for his work with Adele, Paul McCartney, Beck, and more), Flying Lotus, Kenneth Blume, and the Lemon Twigs — boasts an impressive list of collaborators, with contributions from WILLOW, A$AP Rocky, Tame Impala, Chanel Tres, and a previously unreleased collaboration with Mac Miller.
Speaking on his hopes for what listeners take away from the album, Thundercat comments: “Just enjoy it and have fun and just know that the struggle is real and changes shape, but just to keep pushing forward.”
