LUCY announces new album, CITIZEN'S ARREST
LUCY — the alias of New England artist Cooper B. Handy — has detailed his upcoming album, CITIZEN'S ARREST, and unveiled the lead single, "COURTSIDE".
On CITIZEN'S ARREST, LUCY combines Southern rap influences, lo-fi rock, and electronic pop — with "COURTSIDE" landing as the first preview, alongside an accompanying video. The album follows Cooper B. Handy's Album, Vol. 9 released in 2024, as well as a decade across different projects, including lo-fi rock duo Taxidermists, Safe Mind, his electronic pop collaboration with Boy Harsher's Gus Muller, and Club Casualties, his rave project with producer Ghost.
LUCY has collaborated with artists across rap and electronic music, including producer Evilgiane, and has performed alongside Yung Lean and The Lemonheads. Continuing to expand his creative partnerships, the album features Bassvictim's Maria Manow on "100 MILES".
Following the release of the album, LUCY will embark on a North American tour beginning 21 October in Washington D.C., running across the US and Canada before a final homecoming show at the Rockwell in Boston on 6 December.
