Lucia & The Best Boys announce second album, Picking Petals
Lucia & The Best Boys have revealed the details of their upcoming album, Picking Petals, and shared new single, "You Look Like Somebody In Love".
Picking Petals follows the band's 2023 debut album Burning Castles. "You Look Like Somebody In Love" arriving as the second single, following "Lonely Girl", featuring CHVRCHES singer Lauren Mayberry, and is accompanied by a music video directed by Sal Redpath (Sorry, Cardinals, Lime Garden).
Honouring singer Lucia Fairfull’s Scottish upbringing, Picking Petals was recorded at Mogwai’s Castle of Doom studios in Glasgow with producer Yves Rothman. In addition to contributions from Mayberry, the album also features vocals from The Last Dinner Party's Abigail Morris, touching on the creative community that Fairfull has built.
The album is set to arrive ahead of the band's biggest headline show to date at Glasgow Barrowland on 23 October, as well as further shows in Manchester (26 October) and London (28 October), following a string of summer festival appearances at The Great Escape, Dot To Dot, and more.
