Lowly tease upcoming album with new song, "Liminal Space"
Danish quintet Lowly have released "Liminal Space", their first new music since their 2023 album, Keep Up the Good Work.
"Liminal" is the first preview of Lowly's untitled fourth album, due for release this autumn via Bella Union. While few details are available, after the release of Keep Up the Good Work, the band wanted to return to the creative process that guided them when they first formed, coming together in a room and making music based on their intuition.
The resulting album is described as having a "deep emotionality", as the songs explore themes of parenthood, family, love, and loss while expanding on Lowly's dream-pop sound.
Speaking about "Liminal Space", vocalist Soffie Viemose says: “The lyrics are about being a parent and realizing you have to actually do something to not pass on the mess that you were given as a kid. To create brave little kids, you also have to be a role model.”
"Liminal Space" is out now on Bella Union
