Little Simz drops Sugar Girl EP with JT, 070 Shake, and Deela
Little Simz has released a new four-track EP, Sugar Girl, featuring collaborations with JT, Deela, and 070 Shake.
The EP continues Simz’s pattern of releasing shorter, sharper projects between full-length albums. Following 2024’s Drop 7 EP, Sugar Girl leans into club-driven production and experimental textures, with Simz reconnecting to producer Jakwob.
The track "GAME ON" first appeared during Simz’s Weekend 1 set at Coachella,
where JT made a surprise on-stage appearance. The EP’s social media
rollout has also spotlighted other female creatives, including jeweller
Maya (HADAK), Grain and Knot owner Sophie Sellu, sculptor Dulcie Davy,
and designer Olive Hooper.
Simz's 2021 Mercury Prize-winning album Sometimes I Might Be Introvert reached the UK top five, followed by the surprise release NO THANK YOU in 2022. In 2023 she appeared in the final series of Netflix drama Top Boy, and in 2024 she performed on Glastonbury’s Pyramid Stage.
Her 2025 album Lotus charted at number three and received BRIT, MOBO, and Ivor Novello nominations. Last year she also curated the 30th edition of the Meltdown festival and played two UK headline arena shows – her largest to date. She has since starred alongside Cillian Murphy in the film Steve. Her global streams across all releases now exceed 1 billion.
