Little Simz details forthcoming sixth album, Lotus
Little Simz has announced her sixth album, Lotus, and has unveiled its first single, “Flood” featuring Obongjayar and Moonchild Sanelly.
Guided by Miles Clinton James’ immersive production, “Flood” unites two singular voices: longtime collaborator Obongjayar and Moonchild Sanelly. The accompanying video was directed by celebrated filmmaker Salomon Ligthelm.
Lotus follows the 2022 surprise release, NO THANK YOU, last year's EP, Drop 7, and a string of standalone collaborations with Burna Boy and Coldplay, as well as Wretch 32 and Benjamin A.D.. For Simz, the title of her forthcoming album embodies renewal and growth, mirroring her evolving artistry and the album's thematic voyage through life's intricate phases.
Lotus, is set for release on 9 May via AWAL Recordings, and is available to pre-order now.
