Lily Seabird has released "Lightspheres on Their Way", the title track of her upcoming new album due in October.

"Lightspheres on Their Way" follows previous singles "The Afterglow", "Election Day" and "Portal to the Past", with "lightspheres" taking on different forms throughout the songs.

"Lightspheres are so many things throughout this record, UFOs, memories, dreams, people, an unknown force pushing and pulling us through," Seabird explains. "Without being too specific I think in a lot of ways this song deals with the feeling of loving someone through a great distance."

"I was also thinking a lot about Brent Mydland who was the keyboardist of the Grateful Dead from 1979-1990, the end of this song is really inspired by his song ‘I Will Take You Home,’ specifically the studio version which is on Built to Last (1989)," she continues. "Recording this song was really fun and figuring out the arrangement me Daniel and Rick really worked this one out together. The outro of this song is my favourite part which we completely improvised and kept.”

Lightspheres on Their Way is released on 2 October via Lame-O Records
