Rock en Seine returns to Paris for summer 2024 from August 22-25 at Domaine national de Saint-Cloud. The festival has just announced its first wave of artists.

Rock en Seine takes place on the edges of Paris, with five stages across four days hosting headliners such as Fred again.., LCD Soundsystem, Måneskin, Massive Attack, PJ Harvey, The Offspring and The Smile.

PJ Harvey is set to headline the final night of the festival, and will be joined by Italian rock group Måneskin, and the Irish band Inhaler plus, The Offspring, The Kills, Hives, and the US alt-rock trio Blonde Redhead. The Smile, comprising of Radiohead’s Thom Yorke and Jonny Greenwood, alongside Sons of Kemet drummer Tom Skinner will bring their blend of progressive rock, post-punk, and electro. On the indie front, French artist Zaho de Sagazan and this year’s BBC Introducing Artist of the Year, Olivia Dean brings a mix of folk, pop, rock and blues elements.

Electronic music has been a huge part of the festival since its inception, and Rock en Seine 2024 is no different. Mercury Prize nominated DJ/producer Fred again.., will give his only concert in France in 2024 at Rock en Seine, along with the London dance-funk duo Jungle. Trip-hop heroes Massive Attack, LCD Soundsystem, and Soulwax are also on the lineup.

This 20th edition of Rock en Seine coincides with the Olympic and Paralympic Games in Paris and Rock en Seine is set to play a part in the Cultural Olympiad for Paris 2024. With Rock en Seine taking place only days before the start of the Summer Paralympic Games, the festival will curate a programme, labeled Cultural Olympiad, alongside four other major cultural festivals (Festival International de la BD d'Angoulême, Festival de Cannes, Festival d'Avignon, and Rencontres photographiques d'Arles). The Cultural Olympiad of Paris 2024 aims to foster dialogue between sports, culture, Olympic and Paralympic values throughout the territory.

Dominique Hervieu, Director of Culture for Paris says: “We are delighted that the Rock en Seine festival joins the Olympic and Paralympic momentum by integrating numerous events labeled by Paris 2024 as part of the Cultural Olympiad. Art, sport, but also values of inclusion and sharing will be at the heart of this 20th edition.”
