Big Truck — led by SOFT PLAY's Laurie Vincent — have released their debut single, "Central Reservation Blues".

Big Truck is formed by Vincent, drummer Sam Coppins, guitarist Asa Thallon, and keyboardist Justin Myles, with a sound inspired by bands including The Cure, The Smiths, The War On Drugs and The Breeders. "Central Reservation Blues" arrives as the band's first introduction, teasing what's to come in the year ahead.

Speaking about the personal inspiration behind the track, Vincent says: “I missed my partner’s birthday and my son’s birthday when I was in America. I’m no good at numbers and I tend to miss those details when we’ve got a big touring operation and things are booked a year in advance. Those birthdays I missed will be remembered forever, whereas I can't even remember those gigs that I played.”

"Central Reservation Blues" is out now on Marshall Records
