Laura Misch recruits Alfa Mist for live version of "Jealousea"
Laura Misch has released a live session of her song "Jealousea", featuring musician, composer and producer Alfa Mist on piano.
"Jealousea" was first released on Misch's second album Lithic back in June. The live session, filmed by Greg Barnes, sees Alfa Mist joining on piano to expand the arrangement of Misch's vocal and saxophone melodies.
“Three years ago I recorded Alfa playing this piano part and waited for the right shade of album to come along to plant it within," Misch says of the collaboration. "It eventually found its home in 'Jealousea', stripped back to its minimalist form. I’ve known Alfa for over ten years and always loved his playing so deeply, so it felt very special to breathe new life into it together. So here it is, in full, from beginning to end.”
"Jealousea (ft Alfa Mist) (Live)" is out now
