Yuck break up on 10-year anniversary of debut album

Yuck have shared a statement on socials revealing they will no longer tour or make music together on the 10th anniversary of their self-titled debut album.

Today (15 February) marks the 10-year anniversary since Yuck released their self-titled debut album. Yuck was the only album to feature vocalist Daniel Blumberg, and Max Bloom took over vocal duties after he left the group in 2013.

This afternoon, Yuck shared a statement on their social media accounts revealing that they are officially breaking up. The statement reads, "I feel it's only right to tell you that we will no longer be touring or making new music together. We've released 3 albums together and i'm so proud of everything we've achieved, but we all felt it was important to know when to draw the line."

Yuck add, "It wasn't an easy thing to come to terms with. I want to thank everyone for their overwhelming support over the years, everyone who came to shows, bought our record, bought our merch, Fat Possum for believing in us and signing a band they had never met or seen live, and our booking agents, press and management for working so hard for us."

In December last year Yuck shared some demos from their 2013 second album Glow & Behold.

The last Yuck album Stranger Things landed in 2016. Max Bloom released his debut solo album Perfume in April last year.
