Youth Lagoon examines his own psyche with new cut "Rotten Human"
Idaho-based alt. pop merchant Youth Lagoon has dug around in his mind for new single "Rotten Human".
It features on upcoming LP Savage Hills Ballroom, his third in total, which was recorded in Bristol (U.K.).
Like previous tasters of this record, "Rotten Human" sees Youth Lagoon scour the depths of modern life and conjure an ear-friendly reflection on what he finds. Speaking to Nerdist, he says: "“It’s so much easier to go through each day and forget the previous day or forget the hurtful things you said to someone or whatever it might be, just the shitty parts of your life. This song is addressing that. It’s really examining what it is that makes me who I am, and what parts of that are disgusting."
"Rotten Human" links up with "The Knower" and "Highway Patrol Stun Gun" in previewing the new LP.
Savage Hills Ballroom will be releaesd 25 September on Fat Possum.
