Yes guitarist Peter Banks dies at 65

It’s with great sadness that we confirm that Peter Banks, the original guitarist and founding member of Yes, has passed away.

Banks, who has been dubbed as ”The Architect of Progressive Music”, died on Friday (8 March) at his London home. He was 65 years old.

The Barnet-born musician (pictured far left) parted with the band in 1970, later forming Flash with Yes keyboardist Tony Kaye.
