Xiu Xiu announces Nina Simone covers album, streams 'Don't Smoke in Bed'

Avant musician, Xiu Xiu – aka Jamie Stewart – has turned in a rendition of Nina Simone classic ’Don’t Smoke in Bed’, lifted from the musician’s upcoming covers album of Simone tracks.

“The idea came from wanting to honor her, challenge myself to be better than I think I can be and to say thank you to music,” Stewart says in a press release.
