Poly Styrene, singer with seminal punk band X-Ray Spex has died following a battle with breast cancer.
The singer released a new record, Generation Indigo, last month and revealed her illness during a recent Guardian interview. Her death was announced by close friends on her Facebook page and then confirmed by her publicist moments ago.
