Wolf Alice sauntered into the BBC Radio 1's Live Lounge to rock out a twinkling rendition of Years & Years' "Desire" earlier today (23 June).
Twisting the song into new shapes, the throbby pop ballad is no longer built for dancefloors, but rather the insulated innards of your mind. The heavy basslines and rocket-fuelled beats are replaced with spider-leg guitar strands and low-rumbling harmonies - it's almost unrecognisable, basically.
Wolf Alice's debut LP My Love Is Cool is out this week; Years & Years' first full-length Communion is out 10 July on Polydor.
