Wild Beasts reveal release date for new single
Cumbrian four-piece Wild Beasts have revealed ‘Albatross’ will be the first official single taken from their much-anticipated third album, Smother.
Countertenor Hayden Thorpe’s operatic vocals remain, but the band appear to have moved on from their former earnest fare, a mellow groove and trace electronica underpinning their new single.
Slated for release on May 2, the ‘Albatross’ is available to stream now, with a free download up for grabs from March 9 via the band’s Facebook page. Smother drops on May 9.
Wild Beasts have announced a spate of UK tour dates, with main support coming from current media darlings Summer Camp.
