Watch Tyler The Creator's interview with Larry King
Odd Future ringleader Tyler the Creator has sat down with interview veteran Larry King for his online show Larry King Now.
The pair discuss music, art, film, entrepreneurship and other topics like homophobia in hip-hop and the “n-word”. In particular, Tyler stresses his intent to be “more than a rapper” and downplays the influence of his lyrics on other people.
“I hate rapping,” he is quoted as saying. “It’s not interesting. In the future, I want to do films. I want people to mention my name next to Wes Anderson or Quentin Tarantino. I don’t want my name to be mentioned next to other rappers at all.”
