Watch the world premiere of I'm From Barcelona's new "Violins" video
I'm From Barcelona, the gigantic gaggle of Swedish musicians, have detailed their forthcoming fourth album Growing Up Is For Trees, and are airing their new video for "Violins" exclusively on Best Fit.
Membership has varied between 16 and 28 over the years, and currently - or at least in the press shot - stands at 19. This upcoming album will be the group's fourth, and their first since 2011. Bandleader Emanuel Lundren puts this down to his penchant for education: "I have spent a lot of time learning about vintage synthesizers on German websites..."
Growing Up Is For Trees bears album artwork that has to be inspired by Pink Floyd's Ummagumma LP back cover design, but nowt else about the sonic assembly bears direct resemblance to '60s psychedelia - this is pop, pure and simple. However, its thematic content is slightly darker. Lundgren explains: "one of the main inspirations for this one was a book about a person who, at any given time, can only remember the last 15 minutes of his life... people say that you should live in the moment, but I don't think this is what they're referring to..."
Growing Up Is For Trees is released 25 March via Warner. The single version of "Violins" is out now.
