Watch The Staves perform new track "Make It Holy" live in the studio
Watford folk-pop sisters The Staves have pulled the trigger on a new live session version of "Make It Holy".
The group's sophomore full-length, If I Was, is out 23 March on Atlantic.
They've worked on the new album with Bon Iver's Justin Vernon, who flew over from Wisconsin to perform with the band at a recent show.
"Make It Holy" is a previously unheard taster of If I Was, that like many of their tracks, yanks forcefully at your heartstrings. It's gentle, flickering, and backed by slowly-rising instrumentation that builds from a solo snare into a monumental crescendo.
Watch the live "Make It Holy" session below. You can also watch their Take Away Show for La Blogothèque afterwards.
