Watch The National appear in & perform on The Mindy Project

Matt Berninger and co, The National made a cameo appearance in last night’s episode of FOX series, The Mindy Project.

The Brooklyn band featured in the episode of the comedy show, fronted by former The Office actress Mindy Kaling. They played themselves, headlining a fictional music festival.

“I’m a big fan of the show,” said Berninger of the guest slot. “In interviews, they would ask me what I’d been reading lately and I kept saying ‘The Mindy Project’ because I watch more TV than I read… We became really big fans of the show, so they invited us on.”
