Firmly establishing their latest moniker Tasseomancy and their independent artistic output beyond Austra, Sami and Romy Lightman are set to release their debut album Ulalume on 30 August via Out Of This Spark/Turf Records. Taken from this forthcoming full length is the ethereal and otherworldly number ‘Heavy Sleep’ whose eerie, sparse instrumentals and unique groaning vocals are now accompanied by a video. Directed by Derrick Belcham and featuring the sisters themselves, the footage is a visually haunting affair that plays out like a twisted fairytale, exploring dreams and the duality in all of us.
The track has also been remixed by Maya Postepski, (Austra’s drummer and one half of Canadian, dark synth duo Trust) and you can stream it below right now.
