Following last week’s stormer of a series opener, Later with Jools Holland continued to offer up star-studded line-ups last night with the likes of Pixies, CHVRCHES and Janelle Monáe heading the bill.
Over in the UK for a pair of London dates, the recently-revived Pixies performed ‘What Goes Boom’ from their recent, critically-polarising, EP1, as well as classic ‘Wave of Mutilation’, while CHVRCHES - celebrating their debut album release – ran through breakthrough hit ‘The Mother We Share’. Monáe, on the other hand, gave mile-a-minute renditions of latest singles ’Dance Apocalyptic’ and ‘Q.U.E.E.N’.
